After the Juneteenth celebration this Saturday, our vigils will take a pause for the summer. We will resume in September to proclaim to our community what our deep commitment to racial justice leads us to do. As our statement on racial justice adopted last fall states, we commit “To engage in work to end racism, to promote social justice.”
This Saturday, June 19th, we will celebrate Juneteenth! The vigil on that day will be at Eddon Boat Park at 12:15 (carpool at 11:45)After the vigil we will reconvene at the church at 1:30 for a potluck picnic. Bring your own item to put on the grill and a side dish to share.
