The Forum Meets Sundays at 10:45, September through May. A variety of topics are presented:  theology, politics, the arts, world religions, contemporary issues, religious history—all with the intention of providing a vigorous, rich learning environment where the Christian faith is at the center. Please join us at in-person or on Zoom at 10:45

April  7th Join our talking circles as Pastor Kim leads us in a discussion about Speaking Truth to Power. Pastor Kim will talk about two significant truth-to-power bible passages. Our talking circle discussions will be spent sharing stories and thoughts about how each of us as people of faith are called to speak truth to power in small and large ways each day. God is the God of truth. God's people are to speak the truth in love as occasions arise and to do so without fear. It's a lesson learned by Moses and an almost-unheard-of prophet, Micaiah ben Imlah.

April 14th In February, Lutherans Restoring Creation hosted a discussion on the documentary, “Regenerating Life: How to cool the planet, feed the world, and live happily ever after.” The Filmmaker, John Feldman, participated in this discussion.  Join George Unruh and the Green Team at the forum as we watch the first third of this documentary and then talk about highlights from the film.  This comes just days after Professor Kevin O'Brien delivers a discussion on April 11th, "The Violence of Climate Change," at our church.  As we live into Earth Month (April), we encourage you to join in these educational and thought-provoking opportunities.

April 21st Join us as Steve and Heidi Giles summarize highlights from the 2024 Washington State legislative session. Focus will be on bills/laws related to healthcare, including those with importance for marginalized or disadvantaged populations (although most are of interest to ALL of us). Steve and Heidi will also share how they engaged in the process, including tips for how you could “show up” and express your perspective during future legislative sessions.

April 28thJoin us as Neal VanDerVoorn shares with us the sights of ancient ruins, medieval abbeys, and sacred shrines he visited on his trip to Portugal in November 2018.
